M/V Discovery offers multi-day cruises in Prince William Sound featuring photography, whale watching, birding, hiking & kayaking, adventure, sightseeing or create your own custom Prince William Sound cruise. Their focus on providing a low-impact way of exploring this gorgeous and diverse marine environment provides an unconventional, genuine and intimate encounter far removed from the high-volume Alaskan tourism.
The 65 foot classic working yacht is fitted to combine the finest blend of luxury, comfort and utility. Its size allows the Discovery to meander fjords and ice-bound channels offering an up close experience inaccessible by larger cruise ships.
The lower deck includes sleeping accommodations for up to 12 guests in 6 cabins, plus crew quarters, two bathrooms with hot showers, and stowage space. The walk-around deck and ample windows provide covered viewing and photography opportunities onboard. Well equipped for travel in Alaska's wilderness, the Discovery safely travels in Prince William Sound's remote waterways.
Fine dining awaits you aboard the Discovery. Depending on the season, locally caught seafood is featured including Copper River King Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, Halibut, oysters, shrimp and rockfish. Fresh vegetables and homemade breads accompany all meals.
A trip aboard M/V Discovery can easily be combined with a stay at one of our remote lodges in either Denali National Park or the Arctic.
