2022 Last Minute Alaska Yacht Charters

Last minute availability for 2022 for August and September for Alaska charter yachts. Glaciers, humpback whales, bears, incredible fishing and much more!

2022 Last Minute Alaska Yacht Charters

We have a number of weeks remaining in August and September for Alaska yacht charters. While each month holds something special to experience while cruising in Southeast Alaska, August and September hold their share of magical highlights.

Late summer offers the best fishing of the whole season. Halibut move into shallow water to feed on spawning salmon, making them easy targets while jigging. Silver (coho) salmon are in both fresh and saltwater and can be super fun on a fly rod. Rivers are also chock-full of pink and chum salmon. Sea run dolly varden and cutthroat can be caught as they feed on salmon eggs.

August and early Fall also offer peak brown bear and humpback whale watching. Bears are congregated feeding on salmon streams fattening up for the winter, and humpbacks are often seen bubble net feeding.

Wild berries are plentiful and if your onboard naturalist is familiar with wild mushroom foraging, chanterelles and porcini are abundant in certain locations!

Here are just a few of the remaining options for a private charter yacht in Alaska for 2022:
