Iniakuk Lake Wilderness Lodge is a luxury fly-in wilderness lodge 225 miles north of Fairbanks in Alaska’s Brooks Range. The lodge offers comfort, quality and solitude 60 miles north of the Arctic Circle on the edge of Gates of the Arctic National Park. The main lodge is 100% solar powered providing 24 hour electricity, running water and a wide range of amenities that are unmatched in Alaska’s Far North.
The lodge has been the home of the Gaedeke family since 1974. Built by hand, one local log at a time, the Gaedeke’s extend a personal touch to the care of their guests and the surrounding countryside. Fresh baked sourdough breads, pastries and decadent desserts accompany locally caught wild Alaskan salmon at the dining table and salad greens are grown on site.
Situated at the north end of a lake five miles long and a mile wide, Iniakuk Lake Wilderness Lodge is overlooked by 4,000 foot peaks which mark the southern margin of the Brooks Range and provide a stunning backdrop to this secluded location.
The main lodge sits back a few hundred feet from Iniakuk Lake and contains the dining hall, kitchen and 3 bedrooms on the second floor. Nearby is the bath house with modern showers and endless hot water. There is also a 2-bedroom guest suite with attached bath. The suites upstairs lounge and fireplace provide a panoramic view of Iniakuk Lake and the Brooks Range, the perfect spot to contemplate the days activities.
Your stay is specifically catered to your interests – This means individual attention from your personal guide for the duration of your stay. All-inclusive fly-out tours begin and end in Fairbanks and can include fantastic wildlife viewing, fishing, canoeing, birding, hiking, float trips, and stays at private cabins inside Gates of the Arctic National Park.
Iniakuk Lake Lodge is the only luxury wilderness lodge offering privately-owned accommodations at wilderness cabins within the Gates of the Arctic National Park. The Arrigetch Peaks Wilderness Cabin was hand built with local logs on the edge of the National Wild and Scenic Alatna River.
The Caribou Cabin is a three-room ranch house built out of imported cedar logs with a panoramic view of the Alatna Valley, 100 miles North of Iniakuk Lodge, along the Continental Divide.
