Occasionally there are regrets for living in such a remote place like Haines, Alaska. Like when I’m 30 hours deep in transit coming back from a “short” holiday trip to Denver and now on hour 5 of sitting on the tarmac of Ketchikan’s Airport waiting for fog to lift in Juneau.
But after enduring a near snowless week in Colorado, the short charter flight to Haines reinvigorates my spirits; Blue skies, deep snow pack, rapidly increasing daylight, heli & catskiing just around the corner…
Maybe living so remotely isn’t so bad after all…
Here’s to seeing you in AK in the New Year!
