I just returned from the Wild and Scenic Film Festival sponsored by our local Watershed Council in Haines. An incredible evening of film, food and Haines Brewing Company beer. Highlights included “Eastern Rises” with monster Kamchatka Peninsula Rainbows gobbling deer-hair mice.
Another highlight was 6 year old Griffin Culbeck’s comment during “Scattered Flurries”, a short film focusing on out of bounds terrain around Telluride: “That looks like it would be fun sledding. Scary, but fun”.
Look for Kamchatka fly fishing trips on the menu shortly. I’m already at the tying vise getting prepped.
