A short film called Last Light was recently released by Sweetgrass Productions featuring Patagonia ambassadors Stephan Drake (DPS Skis), Johan Jonsson and Forrest Shearer. The three hike and ride lines around Haines, Alaska with the assistance of Drake Olson as pilot.
Artistic shots and soulful music complete this showcase of our local mountains. A few years ago, I recall running into Drake heading off the Haines Highway an hour before sunset to ski in the alpenglow. We were headed home from a day of touring, he was headed out. This film captures those magical moments in the mountains.
