The glaring sunshine and 30 feet of snow was too tempting to resist Tuesday morning. Three of us headed out at 7am for some laps at an easy access spot by snowmachine. All desk jockeys, we had a 1pm deadline to return to our respective offices.
We could get 1500′ shots of perfect powder through a mix of alpine meadows, trees and pillow lines and then race back up on the sled. Nice to have friends with big machines. The four stroke Yamaha had no problem having two of us ride in tandem, pulling a third.
With a little over a month left to the Heliski season in Alaska, it’s not too late for you to get your powder quota in for the year. We’re still getting last minute bookings for Haines, Valdez and Girdwood and conditions don’t get much better! Guides are stoked. Film crews are stoked. Clients are stoked. Why aren’t you?
