Four mountain ranges converge here. 13 million acres of virgin powder in the largest protected land mass on earth. Helicopters aren’t allowed within the Park’s boundaries, so it is left to just you, your guide and a plane- plane-assisted skiing. Three Super Cubs, an Otter and a 185 are waiting to show you all the Wrangells have to offer!

Ultima Thule is located 100 miles from the nearest road. Each private cabin is uniquely appointed, with elegant Craftsman furniture and a quintessentially Alaskan devotion to primal comforts. Stained glass windows, a cherry writing desk, plush leather furniture.

Each evening you return to the lodge and to your private cabin which is uniquely handcrafted using local timber and serves as a cozy and welcoming home in the wilderness. Each cabin has two bedrooms, one room boasting an over stuffed king size feather bed, a full bathroom and an amply furnished sitting room with amazing views of the Chitina River and surrounding mountains. The lodge also features a cedar sauna/self-spa that makes for a great place to relax after a full day of ski touring.

Dining is in the main lodge building and features gourmet meals prepared with fresh Alaskan ingredients. Salmon and wild game are also harvested locally. Special dietary needs can be accommodated.

Great care is taken to ensure that you can relax with every comfort and enjoy the best that the wilderness has to offer! With a maximum of 12 guests at a time you will find the lodge is an oasis of relaxation and personal experience.
