M/V Equinox is a fully equipped and professionally crewed long range fishing yacht with home port in beautiful Sitka, Alaska. Using the Equinox along the owner’s fully equipped 23’ sportfisher, ECLIPTIC, guests are provided with a custom Alaskan cruise to suit all levels and interests. In addition to salt and freshwater fishing, the crew offer experiences that aim to bring guests closer to nature. From hiking through the Tongass National Forest, to exploring secluded beaches, to kayaking among the many islands and estuaries, they are eager to share a unique and authentic Alaskan experience with you.

Equinox is a 53’ fiberglass motor yacht with 3 staterooms and 2 full heads. With ample deck space and a classic yacht interior, the vessel is both functional and comfortable. Voyages are 5 day 5 night beginning and ending in Sitka*. Operating range includes inside and outside waters surrounding Baranof and Chichagof Island, and the Inside Passage.

*Custom length cruises and alternate Southeast AK arrival and departure cities are considered pending schedule and availability

Captain and Crew

Equinox is owned and operated by Cameo Padilla and Brooks Areson. Brooks has been guiding and captaining in Southeast Alaska since he found his way to Alaska in 2002. Cameo is a native Sitkan who grew up commercial fishing with her family and has continued work in the fishing industry. They are a fun-loving pair with local knowledge as well as extensive fishing and outdoor exploration experience.
